The Karya Petamba Farmer Group in Tanamodindi Urban Village still lacks the skills required to apply cultivation techniques for the Palu Valley Shallot (Bawang Lembah Palu). This deficiency negatively impacts their agricultural yields and the sustainability of their farming operations. This community service program aims to enhance the farmers' skills through extension services, training, the provision of production equipment, and guidance on sustainable cultivation practices. A participatory approach was employed, encompassing needs assessment, extension services, technical training, equipment distribution, field-based mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The results demonstrate an improvement in the farmers' knowledge and skills regarding land preparation, planting, fertilization, pest and disease control, and harvest management. Regular mentoring assisted farmers in applying cultivation techniques suited to local land conditions and in resolving issues that arose during the production process. This skill enhancement positively impacted the group's output; the use of 1,500 kg of seed stock resulted in a harvest of 5,179 kg, achieving a productivity ratio of 1:3.45. Of the total harvest, 3,720 kg were sold, generating revenue of IDR 114,900,000, while 1,459 kg were retained as seed stock for the subsequent planting season. This community service initiative demonstrates that continuous extension, training, and mentoring can effectively improve the skills, self-reliance, and productivity of Karya Petamba Farmer Group members in managing their Palu Valley Shallot farming operations.
